    This membership is exclusively for Palliative Medicine qualified doctors holding either an MPhil, PhD or PG Dip in Palliative Medicine (paediatric or adult) and in good standing with their medical board.  A full list of what benefits this membership provides is listed on our PALPRAC website but includes access to our vibrant WhatsApp group, provincial PALNET networks on Glue Up, CPD accredited sessions, patient materials, preferential medical scheme rates, and PALPRAC advocacy efforts.

    This membership is exclusively for Palliative Medicine qualified nurses, social workers, dieticians, physiotherapists, and all other allied healthcare practitioners (excluding doctors) holding either an MPhil, PhD, or PG Dip in Palliative Medicine (paediatric or adult), or the 9-month Short Course in Palliative Nursing (1994-2018) or Certificate Course in Palliative Nursing (2019 - present) and in good standing with their medical board. A full list of what benefits this membership provides is listed on our PALPRAC website but includes access to our vibrant WhatsApp group, provincial PALNET networks on GlueUp (previously on WhatsApp), CPD accredited sessions, patient materials, preferential medical scheme rates, and PALPRAC advocacy efforts.

    This membership is exclusively for all healthcare practitioners who DO NOT hold a Palliative Medicine qualification but have:

    • Successfully completed a recognised Introductory course in Palliative Medicine and/or
    • Palliative care work experience - at least 3years (CV and reference letter required)
    • In the case of Oncology and Family Medicine specialists: completed the 60-hour registrar palliative care training

    This membership request will go through a vetting process, and a CV reference letter and/or proof of completing one of the Short Courses in Palliative Care. will be required for approval.

    This membership is exclusively for currently registered PG Diploma in Palliative Medicine students at UCT, or professional nurses registered for the Certificate Course in Palliative Nursing and is available for their year of study (expires on 31 December of this year). 

    Once they have graduated, they will be offered to upgrade to FULL membership in either the DOCTOR or the NURSES/SOCIAL WORKER/ALLIED HEALTHCARE provider stream.

    This is not a PALPRAC membership, but a Palliative Care Community profile for those who do not qualify for one of the PALPRAC membership categories. It will enable you to be part of the Palliative Care Community on Glue Up. This platform is where networking action and palliative care information sharing happen. It is administered by PALPRAC and your contribution will help maintain the platform, expand the community, and support PALPRAC advocacy and activities.
