    Pheto Mangena

    Nephrologist at Polokwane Provincial Hospital

    Dr. Mangena obtained his MBChB from the University of Cape Town (UCT) before specializing in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at the same institution. He currently serves as the Academic and Clinical Head of Medicine at the University of Limpopo and Pietersburg Hospital in Polokwane.
    As the head of the Nephrology Department at Pietersburg Hospital, the province’s main renal care center, Dr. Mangena oversees all aspects of renal disease management, including dialysis and transplant patient care.
    His key areas of focus include developing and strengthening postgraduate and undergraduate medical programs at the University of Limpopo’s School of Medicine, as well as enhancing clinical services within Limpopo’s public healthcare sector.

    Clinical Executive Director of Polokwane Provincial Hospital

    Dr. Morifi is the Clinical Executive Director at Pietersburg Hospital, a role she has held since 2019. She earned her medical degree in Cuba and later completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Palliative Care Medicine at the University of Cape Town (UCT). She is currently pursuing her MPhil in Palliative Medicine at UCT.
    Her medical journey includes completing her internship at Natalspruit Hospital and gaining further experience at Mokopane Hospital. Passionate about expanding palliative care services in Limpopo, Dr. Morifi is committed to ensuring accessible, high-quality care for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
    Beyond her professional work, Dr. Morifi enjoys hiking and traveling in her free time.

Currently, Dr. Sikhipha works as a Nephrologist at Polokwane Provincial Hospital and the University of Limpopo, where she continues to make significant contributions to the field of nephrology.
